Brightside Living
Integrity ~ Self Mastery ~ Community
Our Sober Living Program offers a structured and supportive environment designed to promote recovery and personal growth. We emphasize integrity, self-mastery, and community as our core beliefs.
Program Highlights
Substance Abuse Counseling
Participants receive group therapy and individual therapy each week, delivered by licensed professionals who come directly to the home. This ensures that residents can access therapy even if transportation is a challenge. Therapy sessions focus on helping participants develop coping strategies, address the root causes of their addiction, and build a supportive recovery network.
Mental Health Therapy
In addition to substance abuse counseling and groups, we provide access to mental health therapy for participants who require support for co-occurring disorders. Our holistic approach ensures that each individual’s mental health needs are addressed in tandem with their recovery from substance use.
Peer and Community Support
Our program integrates peer support and community health workers who collaborate with participants to identify additional services they may need. These dedicated professionals help break down barriers to accessing necessary resources and empower participants to overcome personal challenges.
Life Skills Development
On weekends, participants take part in life skills groups, which provide essential tools for navigating day-to-day life in sobriety. These sessions cover a range of topics, from financial management to effective communication, fostering independence, and personal growth.
Medication-Assisted Treatment
We work closely with Suboxone and Methadone prescribers to offer Medication-Assisted Treatment for those who need it. All medications are stored securely in locked boxes within our on-site office, ensuring safe and responsible handling.
Random Drug Screening
To maintain a drug-free environment, we partner with an agency that conducts observed random urine drug screens. These tests are processed in a lab to guarantee accuracy, helping participants stay accountable in their recovery.
Curfew and Accountability
All participants are required to adhere to a nightly curfew and follow a sign-in/sign-out system for accountability. We maintain a strict policy to ensure honesty and commitment to the recovery process.
12-Step Meeting Participation
We strongly encourage participants to attend at least three community-based 12-step meetings each week and secure a sponsor within the first 60 days of admission. These meetings foster peer support, accountability, and a sense of community among individuals in recovery.
Transportation Assistance
We’ve partnered with MTM to provide participants with free monthly bus passes, enabling them to attend appointments, shop for essentials, and commute to work. This ensures that lack of transportation is never a barrier to progress.
Employment Support
Our program goes beyond recovery by helping participants build resumes and connect with local employers. We maintain a list of companies in Las Vegas that are open to hiring individuals with criminal backgrounds, providing them with opportunities for a fresh start.
Social Sobriety Activities
We’re connected to organizations like The Phoenix, which offers free social activities and outings designed to support sobriety and create lasting connections with others in recovery. These activities encourage a healthy and active lifestyle in a supportive community setting.
